چکیده
BACK GROUND Vincristine (VCR), is a chemotherapy drug, useful in the treatment of leukemia, lymphoma and solid tumor and it is a potent neurotoxin and sensory neuropathy drug which a common behavioral toxicity of this drug. Neuropathy is common squeal of intensive chemotherapy protocols that contain vincristine and corticosteroids. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was a retrospective and descriptive study of neuropathy during in chemotherapy program with vincristine for patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) and Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Data was analyzed by spss Version16 software. RESULTS From total of 51 cases, 23 patients had vincristine neuropathy (45%). Patients with visceral neuropathy have shown ileus, constipation in 13 patients (25%), occasionally severe diarrhea 11 (21%), mild diarrhea 7 (13.7%) and transient diarrhea in 16 patients (31%). Motor neuropathy were found in one patient with Bell, s palsy (1.9%) and one patient with Hoarseness. 12 patients (23.5%) had some type of complication together with sensory peripheral neuropathy. CONCLUSION Almost half of patients with vincristin chemotherapy had neuropathy and the mean age of patients with neuropathy was 12.3 years.

Over 100 instances of acute leukemia have been reported in the course of Hodgkin's disease. The type of leukemia almost always is nonlymphoblastic. Only five well documented cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) have been found by us in the world literature. One case who developed ALL six years after intensive radiotherapy for Hodgkin's disease is herewith reported. The patient responded ...

Abstract Objective The incidence of childhood cancer has been increasing nearly one percent per year for the past two decades. Leukemia and lymphoma are the most common types of childhood cancers. This study assessed the relation between environmental factors (Hydrocarbon, agricultural toxin, insecticide) and leukemia/lymphoma in children, which was evaluated by the frequency of the parents...
متن کاملLong-Term Survival after T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Treated with One Cycle of Hyper-CVAD Regimen
T-lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL) is a rare form of aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The standard approach for management of T-LBL involves intensive multiagent chemotherapy regimens for induction and consolidation phases with central nervous system prophylaxis and a maintenance phase lasting 12-18 months. We report on a case of long-term survival after one cycle of hyperfractionated cyclophos...
